Simon Pollard

Simon has been running theatre workshops with young people of all ages since 2000. It’s something he really loves doing, and manages to fit quite a lot of it in around his directing work.

It all started at Playbox Theatre where he began assisting on pre-school theatre, singing and circus workshops (where he first met and worked with a 3-year old Sophie Turner of Game of Thrones and X-Men fame). He then trained to run his own workshops, setting up and co-leading a Musical Theatre training programme for the company, as well as leading workshops in physical theatre, voice, commedia dell’Arte, text, scriptwriting and devising.

He has since gone on to lead projects for the education departments of some of the UK’s leading theatre companies, including the National Theatre, Old Vic Theatre, Almeida Theatre and Young Vic Theatre.
